Make your own roast beef
Elevate your culinary skills with this roast beef cooking tip: Purchase a beautiful piece of sirloin from your trusted butcher or supermarket (approximately 1.5 to 2 kilograms). Trim away the fat and sinew layer, season generously with salt and pepper. Next, rub it with zesty mustard and add a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce for flavor. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for approximately 24 hours.
On the following day, take the sirloin out of the fridge and allow it to reach room temperature. Sear it briefly in a hot pan with vegetable oil, then let it rest in a preheated oven at 100 degrees Celsius. The core temperature should reach around 45 degrees Celsius (you can also determine the doneness by pressing on the meat), resulting in a beautifully pink center. Serve the roast beef warm with a side of salad and/or fried potatoes.
Quickly cool any unused portion of the roast beef to prevent further cooking. The next day, it tastes exquisite when paired with a flavorful remoulade sauce and a fresh baguette. Enjoy the delicious leftovers!
